Visitor in my Dream

This is a true story, this happened to me last night.


I found myself in a deserted village. The sky was orange and everything around me glowed with the same colour.
The houses and buildings in the village were all derelict and old and I felt like no one had been here in a very long time.
As I walked along the street I suddenly heard something moving nearby. I turned in the direction of the noise and then I saw a tall and very unusual creature walk around the corner of an old building.
The creature was at least eight feet tall and reptilian by appearance. Suddenly it looked directly at me with its amethyst coloured eyes and I froze on the spot.

The creature slowly approached me, but not like a predator stalking it’s prey but like a curious animal.
Once the creature was within arms reach it looked at me and then it lowered it’s head in front of me, wanting something.
I reached out and began scratching one of it’s large ears and I heard a low growl like purring.
I laughed as I realised that this creature was just like a big cat wanting attention.
At this point the creature moved away from my hand, it got behind me and nudged me forward with its head.

The creature was leading me further down the street and to my surprise we stopped at an enormous mirror that stretched from one side of the street to the other.
I saw my reflection and that of the creature but then the creature stepped up to the mirror and then it stepped through it and vanished.
I instinctively followed suit and reached out toward the mirror. My hand sank into the mirror like putting a hand through water and then I stepped through.

It was dark on the other side and I looked around for the creature, but I saw nothing.
Suddenly I heard voices but I couldn’t understand them. They grew louder and louder and then…

I woke up, 4:10 in the morning and the voices that had woke me up were a group of drunken people outside who were staggering home after a night out, and I was starting to think they were partially deaf with the volume of their conversations.

At this point I remembered the creature from my dream and I immediately got up, turned on my laptop and began to draw it.
I could still remember what it looked like and I wanted to draw it before I forgot.
As many people know, dreams don’t linger in your mind very long.



I have never seen this thing before and so I have no idea what it was doing in my dream
